"Odds and ends, odds and ends...Lost time is not found again!" (Bob Dylan)
Some anecdotes from Karl's life...
When Karl was attending Nursery, it was his Grandmother who regularly picked him up and took him to her house to
wait for his Mother's arrival from work. One day, all the way back to the house, he kept singing what his Grandmother
thought was 'Freda Wills; Freda Wills'. When he arrived at his Grandmother's, she asked what he was singing
about thinking it was something he had learnt at Nursery that day.
He said, 'You know, Nana, do they know it's Christmastime?'.
Apparently, he was attempting to sing the line 'Feed the World' from the Band Aid song which reached number one in
the charts in that particular year.

Excerpt from one of Karl's essays:-
The best holiday I have been on in my life was when I went to Disneyworld when I was eight years old. I had never
been on an aeroplane or even abroad before so you can imagine how excited I was. For me, flying on an aeroplane
was really exciting but Mum was scared and wouldn't get on the plane at first. My Dad and my Sister managed to
get her on the plane by teeling her all alcoholic drinks were free once she was on the plane!
